Footage Senator Warren said the following in her remarks: “When it comes to Roe vs. Wade, I trust Andy. When it comes to the battles over the climate crisis that is bearing down on us, I trust Andy. When it comes to standing up for working people, to being 110 percent into the fight for people who are trying to make a decent wage, who are trying to be treated with some dignity, who are trying to support themselves and their families, I trust Andy Levin. I trust Andy because he fights from the heart. He fights with courage. “But here’s the thing, this is going to be hard. He’s got the right ideas. He’s got the passion. He knows how to deliver. But, it’s going to be hard for a really ugly reason. He’s getting outspent. He’s in a race right now that is uphill because folks with a lot of money have said they don’t want him back in Congress. And that worries me. It worries me not just in this race, it worries me for our democracy. “For four years now, he’s been there for nobody but you. He has not picked a single fight because it was going to be easy. He has not picked a single fight because it will keep him out of controversy. He has thrown himself heart and soul into trying to advance the interests of Pontiac, trying to advance the interests of Michigan, trying to advance the interests of working people — because that’s who Andy is. “And now, Andy’s in a race that he can’t win all by himself. Andy’s in a race that he wins with you, and that’s what this is about.” Following the rally, volunteers knocked doors throughout Michigan’s new 11th district. ###
