The Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM), representing more than 12,000 law enforcement employees throughout the state, endorsed Andy Levin for the 9th Congressional District today.
“POAM is pleased to endorse Andy Levin for Congress,” said POAM Legislative Director Ken Grabowski. “Our members put their lives on the line every day to protect and improve the safety of their communities. It’s imperative to elect candidates who support emergency service personnel and promote pro-union causes. That’s why we encourage voters in the 9th District to vote for Andy in November.”
Levin is a lifelong progressive Democrat, experienced union organizer and the Democratic nominee in Michigan’s 9th Congressional District. He has spent decades fighting and winning battles for Michigan’s working families. When in Congress, Levin will continue the fight for good paying jobs with living wages and benefits, Medicare for All, and increased funding for public schools so our teachers and students have the resources they need to be successful.
“I’m deeply honored to have the support of POAM, some of Michigan’s bravest public servants,” Levin said. “I will work diligently in Washington to ensure that all Michiganders have safe communities, and that working families receive the pay they deserve.”
