Oakland County Water Resource Commissioner Jim Nash endorsed Andy Levin on Wednesday saying Andy will work to make Michigan a leader in clean energy.
"I appreciate Andy Levin's dedication to renewable energy and his efforts to help businesses and residents develop these needed energy resources,” Nash said. “With what is happening in Washington around climate change and energy, we need more people like Andy Levin to represent real science and fight for our future.”
Levin founded his own clean energy business in 2011, creating good jobs while reducing carbon emissions and improving air and water quality. The business forges public-private partnerships to save companies money, eliminate waste and drive the transformation to a sustainable economy.
“I am honored to have Commissioner Nash’s support as I fight to protect our environment and keep our communities safe from pollutants,” Levin said of the endorsement. “I want to help unite Oakland and Macomb Counties and develop solutions to protect our local rivers, lakes and Lake St. Clair.”
Levin has also been endorsed by the International Association of Machinists, the Utility Workers Union of America, UNITE HERE, former Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer, former U.S. Rep. David Bonior, State Rep. Bill Sowerby, State Rep. Henry Yanez and retired Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh.
